Bitcoin Casino Payments for NZ Players
Fair Go, Ozwin, Ripper and Uptown Pokies publish Bitcoin deposits and payouts. Their named BTC deposit entries start at $25, with separate Lightning deposit options at $5. Compare the actual route, account currency, fees and withdrawal rules before relying on those figures. This guide explains BTC payment amounts, addresses, invoices and confirmations without treating a public listing as approval for every NZ account.

Bitcoin deposit and payout comparison
All four casinos below explicitly list Bitcoin deposits and a Bitcoin withdrawal option. The table keeps the ordinary BTC banking entry separate from Lightning and identifies limits that need confirmation. Entry links open general casino pages without starting a transfer.

Checked 30 October 2026 UTC. The named BTC deposit rows publish $25; separate Lightning rows publish $5. A dollar symbol does not establish NZD or a quantity of BTC. Published fees and processing estimates concern their stated stage and are not personally tested results.
Compare the full withdrawal conditions
The smallest advertised deposit is only one part of the comparison. A later payout can have a higher minimum, verification requirements and weekly or monthly caps. A general page saying “no maximum” should not override a method table or account terms showing a limit.
Read the individual casino reviews, the crypto comparison and the wider payment guide. We did not enter a private NZ cashier or verify approval for a particular sending service, receiving wallet or customer account.
BTC amounts, satoshis and account currency
Bitcoin is commonly quoted in BTC, while a casino may state its minimum or account balance in ordinary dollars. Those are different units. Confirm the account currency and the exact coin amount requested by the payment screen.
| Amount | What to establish |
|---|---|
| Casino dollar minimum | Which dollar currency does the published minimum describe? |
| Quoted BTC amount | How much Bitcoin must this particular request receive, before its expiry? |
| Sending cost | Is any provider or network charge added separately or deducted from the amount? |
| Credited balance | Is the casino account credited in BTC or converted into a stated fiat currency? |
Small BTC decimals can describe meaningful amounts
As Bitcoin’s FAQ explains, one BTC contains 100 million satoshis. For example, 0.001 BTC is 100,000 satoshis. These unit conversions are fixed; their NZ-dollar value is not. Check the decimal places and unit rather than treating an amount as small because it starts with a zero.
If a hypothetical payment request quoted US$80 as 0.0008 BTC, that would be the example’s conversion basis, not a permanent price for US$80. The actual request’s rate and validity period matter. We do not quote a current Bitcoin market price here.
An NZ-dollar budget may pass through another currency
The cost of obtaining BTC, the casino payment quote and a later payout conversion can differ. Do not assume that funding with coins makes the account balance NZD or removes currency costs. The NZD guide explains the distinction between account and payment currencies.
A coin’s price can change before funding or after a withdrawal. That affects value but does not change game odds. This is a payment guide, not a recommendation to buy, hold or trade Bitcoin.
On-chain Bitcoin and Lightning are different routes
Check which Bitcoin option the cashier actually offers. A base-chain Bitcoin address and a Lightning payment request are not interchangeable instructions. The separate $25 and $5 public entries should not be merged into a universal $5 Bitcoin minimum.
Match the exact asset and receiving method
Native Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and wrapped Bitcoin tokens are different assets or payment arrangements. The Bitcoin Cash project records the chain split that created BCH. A wallet offering BCH does not establish compatibility with a BTC request. The casino must name the supported route.
A token sent on another blockchain is not automatically credited as native BTC. For example, Coinbase describes cbBTC as a wrapped representation on other networks. An Ethereum address or Litecoin option is not a substitute for the Bitcoin instructions. Do not choose another chain simply because a sending service offers it.
Use the current request rather than an old address
Check the recipient, full address or invoice, requested amount and expiry against the official cashier. A previously saved address or screenshot may not apply to a new request. Bitcoin’s FAQ says older wallet addresses can remain valid: a merchant request or quote expiring is not the same as every Bitcoin address having an expiry date. A familiar-looking string or QR code alone does not establish the correct destination.
The Lightning Labs glossary explains that Lightning routes payments through channels rather than settling each one directly in a Bitcoin block. Its invoice guide describes payment-request data such as amount and expiry. Use those instructions; do not substitute an ordinary on-chain transfer or apply a base-chain confirmation count to the invoice.
Keep custody and provider approval separate
With self-custody, you control the private keys and must protect the recovery information. A custodial service manages access through its own account procedures. Bitcoin’s payment guidance explains those different responsibilities. Neither arrangement establishes casino eligibility or permits every destination. Confirm the service’s conditions without changing personal details to work around a restriction.
Fees, payment quotes and deposit thresholds
A casino’s no-fee statement does not cancel a sending provider’s charge, an on-chain network fee or conversion costs. Read the final quote for the actual route and identify who receives each charge.
A Bitcoin network fee is not a universal percentage
Bitcoin’s FAQ explains that miner fees depend on transaction data size and demand for block space, rather than simply a fixed percentage of BTC value sent. A service can also charge its own withdrawal fee, which need not equal the underlying network charge.
For a purely hypothetical example, a 0.0008 BTC request would receive only 0.00079 BTC if a 0.00001 BTC charge were deducted. If that charge were added separately, the total would be 0.00081 BTC. These are illustrative amounts, not a current fee estimate or a casino tariff.
Check what happens if the quote expires
A payment request can have a limited validity period and its own handling of late, short or excess payments. BitPay documents a 15-minute rate window for its invoices, for example. That is a processor-specific condition, not a deadline established for these casino requests. Read the active instructions.
If instructions or an amount have changed, ask the provider about the original request before sending again. Reusing a stale quote can leave another payment to reconcile. An advertised instant deposit does not remove the need to match the amount and receiving route.
Keep an offer’s qualifying amount separate
A payment can meet a deposit minimum while missing a promotion’s conditions. For example, a hypothetical NZ$45 deposit would meet a NZ$25 payment minimum but miss an offer requiring NZ$60. Method eligibility, a code and the deposit stage can also matter.
Read the minimum-deposit guide, bonus guide and code guide. We did not redeem a Bitcoin coupon or establish an individual account’s reward. Clarify an unexpected result before buying or depositing more coins.
Confirmations and missing casino credit
For an on-chain payment, the sending service’s status, Bitcoin network confirmations and casino balance credit are different records. A transfer can exist without yet satisfying the merchant’s crediting conditions.
Do not read an average as a delivery promise
Bitcoin’s payment guidance distinguishes unconfirmed transactions from accumulated confirmations and explains that block discovery is variable. A network average does not guarantee a particular transfer will confirm within that period. The casino or its processor can require additional confirmations and account checks.
Ripper’s help information includes a conditional confirmation-based step for delayed BTC or Litecoin deposits. It should not be turned into a rule that every deposit at every casino requires that same count. Confirm the actual request’s conditions.
Keep enough information to identify the stage
Retain the casino payment reference, BTC amount, destination, submission time and transaction identifier. A public Bitcoin record can help establish on-chain status, but it does not prove which customer account should receive credit.
For Lightning, keep the payment-request and completion records instead of expecting an individual base-chain transaction identifier for every channel payment. Ask the official provider which status it can verify.
If the transfer has not appeared on the network, the sending service may need to investigate its own stage. If it is sufficiently confirmed but the casino balance has not changed, ask the casino to reconcile the original payment request. Do not make duplicate deposits as a test.
Cancelled requests and completed transfers differ
A payment instruction that has not been sent, an unconfirmed on-chain transaction and a completed transfer are not equivalent. A completed Bitcoin payment cannot generally be centrally reversed. Returning funds normally requires the recipient to send them back under a separately agreed process.
No recovery is guaranteed for an incorrect destination or route. We do not need a wallet password, recovery phrase or private key to explain the general checks, and official payment support should not be given those secrets.
Bitcoin payouts, caps and returned payments
The four casinos publish a Bitcoin payout option, but that does not settle an individual account’s currency, limit or processing stage. Confirm the approved receiving method before relying on a cash-out description.
Read the method table and general account terms together
Ozwin’s Bitcoin payout instructions specify AUD100, rather than an unspecified NZ$100 minimum. Other published dollar figures also need their actual account currency checked. A payout minimum does not become a fixed BTC amount without a quote.
Fair Go’s Bitcoin table, general weekly terms and crypto guide give different cap descriptions. Uptown’s weekly table and terms also differ. Those conflicts do not establish unlimited withdrawals or an automatic entitlement to the largest figure. The table above identifies the differences to confirm.
Operator processing comes before final receipt
Verification, review and dispatch can take time before the receiving wallet records a payment. A two-business-day operator estimate is not a promise of two-day end-to-end delivery. Network receipt and any provider hold are separate.
The withdrawals guide, limits guide and fast-payout comparison explain those stages. Receiving BTC and later obtaining money in a bank account would involve another route, with separate conversion and payment conditions.
A return may use a new amount and transfer
A merchant-approved return of a Bitcoin payment is different from cancelling the original confirmed transaction or requesting winnings. Confirm the asset, receiving address, amount, quote and fee. Do not assume the return will equal the original fiat value or involve no network charge.
The checked general terms of the four casinos include ordinary 1x deposit turnover. A hypothetical NZ$75 deposit under that rule means NZ$75 qualifying turnover, not a requirement to lose NZ$75. Ozwin also describes a possible charge on funds that have not met its deposit-turnover rule in specified circumstances, separate from Bitcoin network fees.
A different hypothetical NZ$75 deposit plus a NZ$25 bonus at 30x the combined amount creates NZ$3,000 qualifying turnover. Our wagering guide and calculator explain the arithmetic. Check an offer’s actual basis without automatically combining unrelated rules.
Ownership, payment records and a fixed budget
Bitcoin support does not establish an anonymous casino account. A casino or payment provider can still require identity and payment-ownership checks. Read the verification guide before assuming a payment method removes those procedures.
A public ledger is not a privacy guarantee
Bitcoin’s privacy guidance explains that on-chain transactions and balances are public and permanent. An address can become associated with a person or account through other information. Avoid describing an on-chain casino payment as universally untraceable or free of account records.
Keep transaction references available for your own records while protecting wallet credentials. A request for a recovery phrase or private key is not a normal way to identify a casino deposit or release winnings.
Budget for the payment cost as well as play
Separate the amount intended for gambling from acquisition, transfer and conversion costs. A small BTC decimal does not make the payment affordable, and a change in Bitcoin’s value does not recover a gambling loss.
Use money you can afford to lose and avoid borrowing, chasing losses or trading to fund another session. The budget calculator, limits guide and responsible gambling page cover planning and support.
Bitcoin casino payment FAQs
Which featured casinos list Bitcoin deposits and payouts?
Fair Go, Ozwin, Ripper and Uptown Pokies explicitly publish both. Their named BTC deposit entries list $25, while separate Lightning deposit entries list $5. These dollar figures are not confirmed NZD or quantities of BTC. The public listing does not establish approval for an individual NZ account, sending service or receiving wallet, and a Lightning deposit does not establish a Lightning payout.
Is a $5 Lightning deposit the same as the $25 Bitcoin option?
No. They are separately named payment routes. An ordinary on-chain Bitcoin payment uses its own address and confirmation process; Lightning typically uses a payment request over channels. Confirm the actual route, amount and expiry. Do not send an on-chain payment to a Lightning invoice or advertise the Lightning minimum as a universal minimum for every Bitcoin deposit.
How many satoshis are in one Bitcoin?
One BTC contains 100 million satoshis, so 0.001 BTC is 100,000 satoshis. Those unit conversions are fixed; their NZ-dollar value is not. Check the exact unit, decimal places and current payment quote. A casino's published dollar minimum does not become a permanent quantity of Bitcoin without a conversion basis.
Are Bitcoin casino deposits free and instant?
A casino can advertise no casino fee or instant processing while sending-provider charges, network fees, confirmations, conversion and account checks remain separate. Read the statement for its actual stage. A network fee is not universally a fixed percentage of the amount sent, and a published processing estimate is not a tested or guaranteed receipt time.
Can I use Bitcoin Cash or wrapped Bitcoin for a BTC deposit?
Do not assume they are compatible. Bitcoin Cash is a separate asset and chain, and a wrapped Bitcoin token on another blockchain is a different payment arrangement from native BTC. Follow the casino's exact supported asset and route. A sending wallet offering an asset, or an address looking familiar, does not establish that the casino will credit it.
Can a completed Bitcoin transfer be reversed?
A completed Bitcoin payment cannot generally be centrally reversed. A return normally needs the recipient's cooperation and a separate transfer. Unsent instructions, unconfirmed on-chain activity and internal provider transfers can follow different processes. Do not assume a return will preserve the original fiat value, have no fee or recover funds sent to an incorrect destination.
Does paying in Bitcoin remove casino identity checks?
No. The casino and any payment service can still require identity, address and payment-ownership checks. Bitcoin's public ledger also rules out a universal anonymity guarantee. Keep records of the payment while protecting wallet passwords, recovery phrases and private keys; those secrets are not needed for ordinary deposit tracing or payout support.
Why do Bitcoin withdrawal limits need checking before depositing?
A payout can have a higher minimum, verification requirements and per-transfer, weekly or monthly caps. Fair Go and Uptown have conflicting public cap descriptions, and Ozwin's payout instructions specify AUD100. Confirm the actual account currency and applicable limit rather than choosing the largest figure. Operator approval, dispatch and network receipt are separate stages.
